Who is Manxman?

Hi, I'm not Manx but lived on the Isle of Man for over twenty years and that's why you'll find some Manx Gaelic in my language games section. I used to be an IT specialist, but nowadays I teach EFL & Music in Switzerland. This site contains just a few useful teaching strategies and software I've used, adapted and developed over recent years. Follow me on twitter.
And when I'm not teaching? Look here.

You too can have the VLE (virtual learning environment) hosting and content management system in your school. "Moodle" is free to download and is open source software!

See http://www.moodle.org
This website is based on the free and popular VLE called Moodle. It contains a few ideas, novel strategies and software games for language and literacy teachers. There's also information about the 'construction block' approach to language learning using functional grammar. Check out the 'example' English courses in the functional grammar section which are free to use. I'd be delighted if you'd like to try some of the demos or download the free games software. If you customise the games and are willing to share your work or if you would like to publish a resource, please mail me.
